Story:
I woke up in a Metro Theatre (you quessed it!) this morning. Wich is weird, cause I've never seen the place before, I think it doesen't even excist. It is all grunged out and there is no way out. The doors have disappeared. So I am stuck in this place. I'd also like to note, that I've been having some weird dreams of weird shapes and creatures with whispering sounds. "We are the Children of the Night" is the only thing I can point out from the whispers. I can regonize bits of this Metro Theatre... from my dreams. I think this has something to do with my dreams. And Children of the Night.

The rest it secret. You find out when you play the full game

NOTE* The game will be much better than the demo. It will have sounds cutscenes and even this level will be longer in the full game. Maby. And please give me feedback. The level looks good, of course. If I may just point out some items for the sake of realism that may be helpful? I'll go down the list of images. Some of these are nitpicking, but just for the sake of C/C.

1. The ceiling lights look pretty heavy and should probably be anchored on the cross beams and not the tile. I'm not sure why that caught my eye.

2. I got nothing here. It looks good.

3. The pipe is really out of character in that location and where did the charred lumber come from? Did someone bring it in from outside to start a fire?

4. Light placement and possibly type is awkward for this type of room, and a light in the corner appears to have no source. Why are there urinals on two walls? Looks like poor bathroom planning.

5. Same as 4

6. Light placement is strange, if that's a light at the top of the stairs.

7/8. Looks good.

9. Light source on ceiling?

10/11/12. Looks good.

13. Broken duct appears to be capped, probably on both ends and again in this type setting it's position make no sense. Poor ventilation planning.

14. Too dark to say anything.

15. Same as 4. Is that a light on the wall in the corner?

Maybe you were going for the "after the building was condemned, someone came in and stuck some lights on the wall" look. If so, then nice work.

Good start you've got there.

I noticed that most of the lighting is placed above the sources. watch that, while it looks beautiful with SM2.0, it's still sloppy placing. try to fix that, otherwise, this game looks good.

I know what you mean about the whole urinal thingy. And, yes, there is a lightsource in the corner. I douple checked that there wont be any lights without sources.

That's a part of teh movie theatre thingy, so the lightsource is the movie rolling thingy. But maby I'd remove that. I quess that the intity light thingy can do alone.

What do you mean? I place lights under or next to the sources, depending are the lamps on walls or floors.

The ventilation duct is not open. It is capped/covered on both ends. It's a metal box. No air can flow though it.

Some of your light sources/fixtures are in strange places. An old fancy setting like this with high ceilings would not have a light, or duct, or pipe six feet off the floor. (bathroom corner) If there were florescent fixtures in the main rooms (other than utility closets and storage areas) they would be hung from the ceiling and there would be more of them per room. A florescent light 6 foot up on the wall here and there just doesn't fit the style of rooms you have. Of course, all of the lights don't have to be working, but they should be there and sort of match everything else.

I still dont know why should a game have it. I mean u can see your gun? Right? So.. hud of the weapons u holding is anyhow pointless.

Screens looks good except for huds, REMOVE THE HUDS for a more realistic view of the game. Storyline needs WORK. And i can see you have a good taste of music

Oh, that is not the whole story. That is just what happens in the beginning. And even that will be showed as a cutscene I don't want to tell you the whole story there, wouldn't I. Becouse you will found out as you play. Via story and sound zones

Havent played the demo yet. Wont be able to do so today.(since its christmas and all)

the shower was a good sound but you could tell it just repeated over and over and over and over and over. lol

Hmmm... This doesen't seem to get toomuch atteniton. I hoped for this to be more popular. But I didn't bump this without a reason:

I am getting an error when Loading Entity Instances. I don't remember right, but the sentence had words entity and Instances. I get teh usual error message.

@OutdoorGamer: You're a fairly new member, but I can tell already that I'm gonna like you. You're getting active in the community, giving constructive criticism, and even helping out! That's alot more then I did when I was a new member, and if you keep it up you'll fit right in here.

@Metal Devil: I'm seeing some nice screens here. The story leads onto a sort of magic theme, will you be using EAI's spell kit? I can imagine this game with some sweet spells to take out monsters/demons. Sounds good, can't wait to see more.

Coach Shogun: Yes I am using a spell or two from the spell kit. Also I came up with a good use of some other stuff to call it magic. For example, a retexture of a zombie hands can be a good "balck magic" thingy, but I can't tell you that yet

zeza: The one that comes with model pack 9. Or was it 10. No, I think it was 9. Or 10. Need to check that.

Hey MD123, those shots look nice.
I'm looking at them from my phone, so i couldnt much of the detail, but here is what stood out:
1. In the image that has the url img63, the lights shouldnt be crooked. No event would make them like that. Fall off maybe, but crooked, no. It's also like that in the first image of the second set of images. Maybe everyone else is fine with it, but it kinda bothers me
2. The image right below that is extremely dark.

Well, this game has a lot of events. There's this Metro Theatre part, there's this sci-fi part (not future), and there's underground stuff and you even travel back in time too... But I will not reveal that yet!

Probably more action screens would help, imo.
