I would like to know if anyone has a flame animation that I could use for my game. Not a 3D model, just a bitmap split into perhaps 10 or 20 frames for a smoothly animated flame effects I can apply to a ghosted plain.

Thanks In Advance

You canet it from www.bells&whistles.com (even though those graphics are meant for websites!) and save it as a gif. Open it in Jasc Anim shop and copy the frames. (Just so you know: Get it from the animated Gifs at the bottom of the page!)

That explosion generator didnt seem to work, the window just opened with some lines in it and nothing happened. Is there some way of using it?

You need to press "enter" to create the animation. The window is a little buggy. Edit the explosion parameters in the "Data\config.muf" file, or something similar. Actually, mine didn't work. I tried it last night, but it only saves blank black images. Darn, at least I got some explosion pictures from the website I am using

I wish it worked...

Yep i actually meant to ask how do you edit the config.muf file, as it isnt a recognised file for any app. And it seems I only got blanks aswell anyway.

Brilliant program!

Just press 'Enter' like bolt says and it will generate an anim in top box. A couple of seconds later you get a 16 image texture in big box. assume you have to grab screen and paste it into a paint package as it doesnt actually save image.

the config.muf file is just a plain text file you can edit in notepad or whatever. Just double click on it and select notepad as the program to open it in. Optionally click the box to say always open .muf files in notepad.

I will try waiting longer for the picture to appear in a window. Thanks for the tip

Oh yeah, I forgot about that one. I should check it out...
Thanks.

I still can't get the Explosion Generator to work. I hit enter and it goes through the explosion, I can see it. It then saves a blank black picture, but nothing else, no matter how long I wait.
