Is it possible to use animated sky spheres rather than sky boxes? I have just gotten Dark Matter extension for DB Pro and i was wondering if i could use the animated sky box or sphere with FPSC.

It would be better with multiple spheres for cloud movement, but I never actually experimented with it.
I think there have been discussions long ago, so maybe a search will reveal something.
Or, you could just try it and let us know if it works.
The built in cloud movement (top of box) may be a problem though, but why can't the new sphere be in the existing box?

For that matter, why can't the multiple spheres be an animated entity? (seems simple enough in theory)

Has anyone tried it yet?

I suppose it should be possible to make a huge animated inverted sphere with a few smaller ones in it for a sky..

no, like in valve's games.

in left 4 dead, the "no mercy" campaign where you were in the top of the hospital, all the stuff at the bottom was a part of the "3d skybox"

@CoffeeGrunt

What I think Bugsy means is that the buildings was attached to the sky box
