Hello, hopefully this question hasnt been answered to many times already. I have been using Dark GDK and it has been working great. I have created some great 2D work. But the problem is that i cant get any 3D to work. I just get a blue screen.

I have created a new project through the Dark GDK 3D game wizard. I see the text saying up and down to move the camera but no 3D at all just a blank blue screen. Any ideas what may be wrong?

Using windows 7 64 bit

Code (default wizard code)

i think the camera is inside the object so you dont see them, object's scale is 100-500, and the camera position is 10, 10, -20

try setting the default camera position ( Z ) to -500

This is a very strange problem, I've run that wizard code lots of times an the objects always show.

I would suggest trying to load a model in and see if you have any luck with that.

I notice you have the blue background, I think this indicates that a 3D object has been loaded or created, you just can't see them for some reason.

Keep trying stuff, like Hassan has said, play with the camera, try to create other shapes, play with the scale. If no-one can help more try re-installing.

That is strange, I copied and pasted his code and this is what I see(attached), I didn't have to do anything.

So? 100 = no change, 200 = twice the size, etc.

dark coders right, the spheres start at size 1 unit, the most they can be scaled with that code is to 500 which would make the largest sphere size 5 units, so moving the camera back 20 units should be enough.

the size is a percentage?.....i thought it was units, damn, and i was wondering why i had all the scaling problems...

thanks for that useful comment, never knew it

EDIT: tried -20 Z code, and it worked..sorry for the wrong feedback.

Got it working by uninstalling and then installing again. The repair option did not seem to fix it. It may have been the 7.4 update posted at the top of this forum that wrecked it.

Thanks for your help everyone.
