Newcomers DBPro Corner / Weird Error Message

I have been to create a simple cube but every time i try
to run the program i get an error message!

The Message Is:

Dbp_program has caused an error in
<unknown>

Dbp_program will now close

If you continue to expierience problems
try restarting your computer

Thats the error message!

Now i am using DBP Demo
And I am running Windows ME
With DirectX 8.1 Installed!

try installing DirectX 9, and re-install DBP if that still happens.

when i try to even load a jpg image i get
this error:

Failed to load Dll(4 DBpro Setup Debug.dll)

What does that mean?

please help!!!!!

Do what ToiletFreak said and install DX9, that should fix your problem.

I installed DirectX 9.0

But now i get this error message :

Runtime error 1512 - Display is not supported by available hardware at line 0

What Should I Do?

make sure you are not setting your resolution higher than your card can support, try 800x600 as it is pretty standard

then something ain't right Kid. The only thing I can suggest is that you make sure the entire system is all operating correctly, then get DBP going last. If the system checks out ok I'd suggest completely removing and reinstalling DBP U5.3 and make sure there is no garbage running durring install, virus protects, tsr's, etc etc

try updating the video drivers, moving up to dx9 might require this.


try this simple code example to see if its working as well if required.



sync on : sync rate 60

make object cube 1,1

disable escapekey
while escapekey()=0

r = wrapvalue(r)+1
rotate object 1,r,r,r


sync
endwhile
delete object 1
end
