3 Dimensional Chat / animation data for multiple models

Let's suppose I animate a 3D model and it takes an agonising 3 weeks to create his 1000 frames of movement. Isn't there a way for me to apply an animated skeleton to another model?

For example, all the human models in Half-Life had the same animations, but I doubt someone reanimated each model ...

Yes it can be done in many ways if you don't plan on doing it internally.

3d canvas support animation file (.bvh) which can be applied to skeletion/rigged models...

Haven't played alot with that one but Indi does.

I found the tutorial on the .bvh at the 3DS website, unfortunately the animation file that it pointed to no longer is correcty linked.

Does anyone have a good link to this file?

Are thier any other sources of "baseline" motion or pre animated skeletons / models that can be modified to suit?
