How do you use a .map file in DarkBasic?

Also, is there a way to convert a .3ds file to .x?

There are conversion programs that you can buy, but do a search for an export plugin for your modeling program.

conv3ds.exe converts 3ds to x format (with or without animations)
you can get it from direct x sdk, or with gmax

I have directx sdk 8.1 and I searched for conv3ds.exe, but can't find it. Does it only come with a particular version of directx sdk?

You have to download the DirextX SDK 3D extras pack or something like that to get the converter, its available on the microsoft website

why dont u try out the hidden command in DB:

3ds2x "FILENAME.3DS","FILENAME.X"
about the .MAP with DB, there should be a DB file in the folder where ur 3DME is installed, its called "3D_ViewVer1.12UseFunction(eng).dba", y dont u open it and execute!
