i made this model in blender and made a x file and obj file out it.
I moved the obj file into a program called future paint which enables you to paint directly on the model. After saving all the files including a few tga and a dds file as well as a few more i tried to make an entity in the entity maker. No matter what i do all i get is a solid dark or solid light model or one with the uv map pasted to it not adhered as it should be. i have zipped all the files including the x file together if someone would be willing to help. I need to know what files to use out of all the zipped ones in the entity maker or just what i did wrong.

thank you for reading this im knew and trying to learn like hell.

I think his problem might be that he hasn't mapped the X file. He mapped the OBJ, but not the x, which is what he's trying to make the entity with.

Unhelpful Titles

Please do not simply write "Noob Question", "I am a newb", "One Noobie Question", "A question", "Please help", "This isn't working" or anything similar as the title of your post. We have a search facility, and meaningless titles do not help others find answers to their questions. It will also help you to get quicker responses if people have an idea of your thread content.

this is a nice find,
i use blacksmith 3d it is real good
but this program is more user friendly but dont have all the features, you need to read some of the help files
whith this program, edit or open some of the files in fps creator
and get used to what files are used .
edit some of the texture files to see what they look like, this
will help detemine what you have got or need, this program does
export to .dds, so that might help a bit.
the program does uv map and can be altered in the program.
i think you just need to get some trial and error time to work it
out and do some reading. thanks for the link.

Bring the newly modified .obj and .mtl back into your modeling program and re-export back out to .X and you should be fine.
