Here is what you got to do when you pick your segment like Chateau Study you lay the room down according to the dimensions you want say 3 boxes by 3 boxes makes a nice square room.

Now you don't want the floor so on your editor pick the paint only segment floor button and right click out each floor piece you want gone.

Now you need to add a floor.

same thing instead of right clicking now you select your floor and left click it to lay it down.

If you need carpet here is my old carpet pack I done your welcome to it at http://www.fpsfree.com/ in xplosys download section.

Hope this helps....

--------------Edit-----------------

After checking this out I see whats going on. A regular floor segment wont work with a normal room segment. You get either one or the other per square... But if you go into your floor script open it with a text editor and scroll down to what I listed below and make the change.

this will turn your segment into an overlay and will allow you to lay down your floor as an overlay within your segment square.

If you think education cost so much you should see how expensive ignorance can cost you
