is there a way that players in the game can put a silencer on their gun? Or scope or...

Alright, I'm going to begin the process of slowly answering every one of this guys questions...

With GJ's CoD Gun Mod Kit, you can attach silencers. However, without heavy scripting, (and maybe a lttile modding) it's impossible to be able to change gun equipment on the fly.

Which would be cool. But you can't....

But you can make it so that every time you use a certain gun, it has a scope/silencer. But you can't change it ingame without heavy scripting. And lots of work.

Just copy paste the gun folder and give the player two guns one with silencer\scope\whatever and one without it and then you can

Well, with one thing you could pretty easily, but if there were two possibilities, eg. scope and silencer, you'd need four guns.
1 for none.
1 for silencer
1 for scope
1 for scope and silencer

And that's already hard to script.

And what if there's three different options?

Overall, for something that's realistic, you'd need heavy scripting or something.

In Delta Force series you have three options, you press 2,3,4 to select m4 fire semi auto, m4 fire burst, or m4 fire grenades.
So technically it would work, all you really need in a game is a pistol, a main rifle with a few variations, three is good amount of variations, and a knife (maybe special equipment too like claymores)

Ok, I guess that would work.
But I think he wants to able to attach tons of things on the fly with all possible combinations. Lets say we have a game with a knife, a pistol, grenades, and an M4 with attachable silencer, scope, and grenade launcher...

For that you'd need 1 for silencer, 1 for scope, 1 for grenade launcer, 1 for silencer and scope, 1 for scope and grenade launcher, 1 for silencer and grenade launcher, 1 for none of them, and 1 for all of them.

With grenades, a pistol and a knife FPSC can't handle that.

1 attachment is possible, but 3 is impossible. And wouldn't there be some kind of attachment UI?

So many possiblities...

Not possible in FPSC. Period.

Sven, just grab my gun mod kit (only five bucks) and you'll get tons of awesome combinations from it

Yeah. His kit's good for MW2 style mods: where it's hardcoded into the gun.

You can't change it in-game, but you can still give your character a silenced shotgun with a heartbeat sensor and red dot sight.

Numerous users have discussed this. You'd have to go about like EAI did with his SCAR: press the number the weapon is in to equip the nade launcher. The only problem is the muzzleflash wouldn't change...

I believe that what is being suggested here is all possible with Project Blue. It is possible i believe to change flak, set ammo as variables rather then have it delt with in the system and the change fire would be using i think a gunspec option and scripting command altfire...
