Soory to be a pain guys and gurls. Noob question... I have seen plenty of references to this problem - but cannot find the solution.

Just purchased FPSC with a bundle of Model Packs. Everything installed and running correctly, but I can't access the Model Packs.

I can see that the Viking pack for example is in the EntityBank folder in the FPSC directory, but I have no access to the contents from the application.

Must be something I've missed somewhere. I just downloaded the packs from the My Downloads section of the site and installed them. Everything worked like magic - except i can't access them.

Any ideas? Many thanks...

Did you go to "add new entity"?

Because it would be there.

But how do I use entities downloaded from the forum? Like I'll put them in the gamecore folder but they never show up on the entities menu thing in FPSC

If the download has a folder called "entitybank" as its first, put it in your Files folder in the FPSC directory. If the download simply has "Files" then you put it in your FPSC Directory directly.

Yeah. Gamecore is different from entitybank.

If you are talking about Darmic's AA12 shotgun, it doesn't have a corresponding entity.

Thanks for all of this guys

I did of course try the obvious - that is to say just click on the New Entity button - but none of the Model Packs appear just the generic stuff delivered with FPSC.

When I extract the dowloaded Model packs they automatically save to the FPSC directory and do appear to be there. They are simply not visible from within the application.

This is really frustrating :-(

Am I heading towards a fresh install of everything ?

OK - Sorted

If this is of any use to any other noobs:

I had the FREE edition installed before getting the CD ROM and had downloaded some free assets into it.

When the CD arrived I just installed it thinking it would upgrade everything to the paid version and just ask for a CD key. This was not the case...

It loaded a V1 version of FPSC - and the imported assets under the TGC tag were still all present - however the Model Packs were not. Why that is I will surely never know.

I solved the problem by unistalling everything - including the TheGameCreators root directory, did a Registry clean, loaded the CD, updated to the 1.16 version then intalled the Model Packs.

I did lose the assets I already had of course, but everything else is now working.

I suspect they may be some registry conflicts going on between the model packs and the Free - v - Paid version. Who knows? God works in mysterious ways it seems....
