My little sis own the 3D Game Maker while i have Darkbasic pro, i was wondering how I change bone animated 3D models to work with the 3D Gamemaker, i ask cos she likes the alienware model that is currently being used in the darkbasic compo, thanks for any help you can give

I dont think the 3D Game Maker supports bone animation because if I remember correctly it was made from the same engine as DarkBASIC Classic. The only way to do it would be to make a DBC-compatible animation and then import that into 3DGM.

I would be unstoppable if I could just get started...

i am using the alien model in DBv1.13 without any problems...

yeah from what i heard the alienware model is a 3ds... and 3ds doesn't even support boned anim in the first place. so it should work

There are 3ds and X versions, as far as I can tell the 3ds works a lot worse... I was under the impression at least that the .x one used new boned model capbilities...

The model uses a different style of texturing and animation (boned
animation) than the 3D Gamemaker so this will not work directly. The
model would have to be loaded into a 3D package and edited first.

he seems to think i'll be able to do it but i dont deal with the 3D models in the games i am "working on"

I loaded the 3Ds into Cinema 4D and no bone data appeared.
The IK worked though, even though there were no IK tags
It won't load the x file, musn't be able to handle the format.
