Reminds me of the first level in the demo I like that type of style, lots of branches and different doorways while remaining open and semi-organised. Nice work

I looks cool Wolf

I have a teenie weenie crit (me prepares to run for the hills )
It may be a good idea to use a closed tread stair (add some risers?) for the water effect, as it looks a little strange on an open tread stair.

Mainly because the water would normally just run through the gaps in the treads and be a lot more transparent, showing the yellow of the lighted wall through it. Like I said it's just a small crit and possibly not worth worrying about

You'd think that those two segments don't match on top of eachother like that, but...
well... they just do... they just goddamn do...

Amazing once again, and I got nothing to point out,.. Nbt it too quick. And Sickening? It
still looks too awesome. Even thou I can't make out a word you said on the thread, but your screenies look too awesome.

At first I was confused...

...I really didn't see the connection between your game
and children living in the Orient...

Seriously, this looks amazing Wolf.

@Seko: Thank you, once again! I hope this thread doesn't get boring

Updates from Today

Quote: "

- The Nameless are more frequent now, and they are faster and way
more dangerous now

- Level 8 almost done

- New selfdrawn artwork added

- More Zombies

- Level 1 Done (part of Level 1 from old version)

- Level 2 Done (part of Level 1 from old version)

- Level 3 Done (part from level 2 from old version)

- Level 4 Done (part from level 2 from old version)

- Level 5 ( done)

- Level 6 (Work in progress, part from old level 3)

- Level 7 (Work in progress, part from old level 3)

- Level 8 (New Map, Work in Progress)

"

Level 8 Screenshots

The Nameless... they look like they come straight out of hell
They can appear out of nowhere
And they are fast

That corpse is out of cosmics hell house pack. The retexture is
quiet old and has been made for Disasterpiece.

The Zombies are slow, weak enemies, but they appear often in groups.

...The Nameless entities look great. That's a nice effect.

Any chance you'll post a video, so that we can actually see it
in action?

This continues to look better, every single day...

Thanks Abdul Glad you like it

@Seko: No chance! Its almost done

@Seth Black: Nope I'm an absolute Video Fail. I just don't find a good Screenrecorder. If you know some: Please let me know

BUT!

You can try version 0.5:

http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=171373&b=35

Well...the full version will be 100 Times better...but well, it looks pretty much similar.

The fenix mod beta version (I guess you saw that one?) ...it shows the first version of level 1 and it runs pretty stable:

you'va always had a way with lighting, wolf. every time I see your screens, it always makes me want to replicate the look of it in WWC. I usually fail, but the inspiration usually leads to a creative win which creates a style that looks like it's not copied, but was made for WWC.

I guess its kinda hard to copy a horror game style to a war/action game

Yay!! for the nameless, those guys rock!

Guess what??

Yup you guessed, I got a couple of crits ^_^

The clock and those filling cabinets?? looks a bit out of place with all the blood and grunge in that room (pic 3)

The light entities are too clean and bright (white) considering the degradation in the level(s) Maybe use a darkish orange/yellow Illumination map, or add to D2 texture if not using I textures?

Otherwise looking fantastic as always

Nbt: Damn.. I would so want to see a game from you You seem to have good eye to detail and seem to notice every little thing that is wrong. Hmm.. that sounded maybe a bit sarcastic but not indented

Looks great as always Adrien . I can't wait for the finished game which is any time soon . Definately going to write a review on that!

Nah I doubt you would, as the last game I made was an MMO and one of the enemies was little rampant killer potatoes ^_^

Anyway it is not that I have a good eye, but that Wolf's levels are so well made, that the little inconsistencies are easier to spot. Would be much harder to spot in bad levels as I would not spend as much time admiring the screenshots.

Well ehm... That's original

And you are correct about Wolf's screenshots and it's almost written in the laws of physics that the more you put to the level, the more there will be small flaws.

C'mon Wolf! I want to play the game already

I would like you to drop by on my future project to point out things that don't fit in!

There could be another BOTB in this for ya.

Again, I'm jealous of another person who can do their own entities and stuff. On top of that knowing how to work the shaders. Just awesome. Oh yea, and on top of all that can write a good story and figure out puzzles and riddles.

On Screen 1: Are those the same textures on the pipes/tubes as one the wall? Looks a bit strange to me

That's just the blueish lighting that fluorescent tubes produce creating a blue/grey monochromatic overall effect which makes the surrounding textures blend together giving that dusky horror feel.

its true, it even says, inside the shader, wich colour controls rgb and that, its just taking a lazy look at it, in a readme file or DShader

Which actually isn't the full truth. Have you tried editing it? Maybe it's just me, then I'll take my words back... no offense, anyway. But I have tried to edit the colours, and for me it does not work for characters. They are always yellow like on these screens.

@Flatlander: Thanks!Even though there are only a few riddles in this to annoy... i mean... keep the player entertained.

@all: Thanks for the nice comments and the support, people

to clear things up: I did not modify anything on this shader. It is the vertex fur shader from the Ultimate Shader Pack. I guess the effect is caused by the highly contrasted texture.

**************************************

I just builded the game. Its pretty small for a 10 level game, so the download won't be that large. I sadly had to delete half of the lights in level 9 in order to build it with good quality.

I will have my driving lesson now and afterward, I'll upload this game and spread it on the net

Euthanasia Work in Progress Final Post

So its done. The Final Product is far from perfect but it was only a test and practice Artwork all the way along. It grew larger than expected, it had more bugs than I could imagine before and a lot of release versions. But after long months of development, the game is finally done.

However, its recommended to save every level because the game still crashes sometimes.

@Andrew Dickinson: Every Screen is differently adjusted, so on some screens the game might be too dark. On Screens with a default setting, the game looks normaly lit. You can adjust your screens brightness as stated in the starter application. Click on "view settings"
