WIP THREAD

The Outline

A nice haunted house with dodgy paintings, mystic doors, old segments, broken and animated entities. Bloody items and a real horror theme. As another add-on, an alkatraz/ nazi zombie theme with walls with holes in, old crates, designs, crunched staircases, wooden boarded windows, jail cells, HELP doors, scary words painted upon the walls and all.

A Terryfying graveyard scene with 8 different graves to choose from, grass segments, old barred fences, garden segments, old grave mud, mud heaps, old hands ( thats right HANDS ), shovels, and as a soecial An animated grave with a hand coming out!!!

The Graveyard Section

Hey guys, this WIP will evolve over time, I am just working on the first few graves. I was just wondering... do you think it would be Ok if I used names... So basically if you want your name on one of the gravestones just say so:

hmm, its okay. but if your going to make a mega pack for the community you need to improve your skills a bit

Wait a minute, I'll knock something up

Mega pack doesnt mean quality pack.
Making lots of models is a great way of improving yourself.

Looks good so far! But you would need a ingame screenshot of the model to keep this thread unlocked.

@OCHO GEEK: Please put a texture to it. I am not the greatest texture artist ever! I am working on it to improve, besides I am working on an animated hand coming out of a grave and loooaaddss of other stuff thats WAY more complex than the gravestone. I have to do the haunted house too!! My future models will be better.

P.S what program do you use?

well, your tombstone consists of three cubes, where my mesh has some extra detail

just think of adding a little detail in places, it makes a good difference

@Ocho Geek, If you are going to bash other people's work, at least make sure what you give as an example is good. Yours wastes polies.

I COULD MAKE ALL ENTITY'S LOADS BETTER. BUT, THEY WOULDN'T HAVE NAMES ON THEM

So what do you prefer: No names, but AWSOME textures OR Names and 50/50 quality....

It's not that I dont want to make it 100% on BOTH sides (model and texture) It's just that I am not very good at texture mapping. I can use texture co-ordinator fine, but when I use a plain to add my text in just 1 side, it all goes wrong!

No names, have them chipped away or something, most games do this.

BTW, heres mine with a 10 minute texture, the grass at the bottom is supposed to go with the FPSC grass as shown

Darimc: I wasnt really taking that into account, i was going for shape rather than structure, but thanks for the pointer

Alright, in that case it was a good example. Just optimize for best use . Sorry if I came off offensive, tired and cranky .

Wheatley, I have a grave yard that I made for a game that I never made. It is basically a terrain entity segment. It was made by me using blender to learn texture splatting and scultping. It's yours if you want it, just email me for it.

looks good, my advice is don't use images from cgtextures, they are a bit overused and common...
