Ok, hey all out there, I am very new to this but I was trying to add music to my level.

Now before you all attack me, I did read the other three or four topics I got by searching for them but even with all that I couldn't get anything to play. I have tried adding trigger areas, sound areas, and even directly turning it on via a switch or something.

It might be my settings for the music, I did save it in .ogg format, does it matter what the khz is or if it's mono or stereo?

Also, will it play in test mode?
Maybe that's my problem, I don't want to make my level into a game just to test that.

Hey hippie
I'm not 100% sure and I am just going by the manual, because I just looked this up today for myself. I believe the only sound file format that FPSC reads is .wav. You can convert your file with audacity a free sound program that reads and writes .ogg .wav and .mp3.
Once you have the right format it should be quite simple, just make sure to put the sound file in your audiobank folder, and if your, say, using a sound zone, make sure to lead it to the appropriate file.(right click the soundzone)And it will work in test mode.
Hope that helps

FPSC accepts ogg files and wav files. Try placing it in a sound zone and walk through it. If there is no sound, try changing the file type to wav.

Well I know this is frankensteining but nothing has worked so far.

I'll post a picture to see if that can help.

[PIC] I try setting up the .wav file I want to play where it is circled. Still I don't get any noise other than the windy noise that just seems to come with the game.
