Hi all,

I updated the CodeBase again today. Phase 1 is now virtually finished unless anyone can find bugs in it? I've updated the file attachment process, you also now have thumbnails and screen shots. This meant I had to delete everyones screen shots, sorry.. (there were only 8, 6 of which were mine!) so please upload those again.

I also put live a test of Phase 2. It doesn't have paging on it yet and the list page needs tidying, but you can view them all and search and filter by category.

Cheers,

Good stuff

The search needs some tweaking though.

I have a codebase entry called "3D Distance"

Typing in "3D Distance" won't find it, "nor will Distance 3D". However "distance" or "3d" will.

Another issue: Whenever you use the back button after viewing a piece of code, to return to the codebase list, you get a "Warning: Page Expired" error.

It searches the summary, not the title yet and isn't case sensitive but would expect to find the two words next to each other. I'll convert spaces into wild cards, but it will still need them in the right order.

Cheers,

Rich

Hey, haven't we all been busy! Ok some busier than others (I have one entry ) but it's looking like it's gonna be one very useful resource.

Can I make a small suggestion - not a showstopper but a nice to have. The screenshot tab could be greyed out if there is no screenshot.

I'd like to be able to filter DBC and DBPro code too.

IanM - already done and I've added loads to the search box too. Will be uploading new version soon (today, in about an hour).

Cheers,

Rich

@IanM

Can you rename the description of your search routines to include the word "pathfinding" as I think that is what a lot of people will look for (including me).

Can you add like a comment thing to the codebase, so people could comment on a snippet?

No, use the new (sticky) one I created

I will let registered users add comments and rate codebase entries (where the author hasn't disabled it) in the next release. For now, it works quite nicely (unless you all report otherwise!)

Cheers,

Rich
