I tried making a basic 1to2 IP chat program:




Im probably doing it all wrong, any advice?

Try putting a GET NET MESSAGE immediately after the 'do'.

Also, don't forget that the INPUT command effectively freezes your program, so any new messages will not show on your receiving machine unless you hit the enter key.

You write your own using ENTRY$ or INKEY$.

Yes, I knew about the input problem, I was just trying to establish a link first

btw, anyone know why when I compile the example net program.
(the one with the smily face), the program trys to open infinte copys of itself?
I havnt change the code at all, I just run it, and every time it asks me for a IP it loads a new program

Do I get flamed if I say "bump" here?



I have no expirence with IP code, and cant get it to work on my own.
Having a modem connection, Its also tricky to keep sending code to a friend to test it.
(gets boring after the 4th re-compile)
