This program is designed to help people build functional isometric maps quickly using a point-and-click interface.

It is currently at version 0.9. You are able to save your map but not load it (yet...I will rectify this in the next day or two). Any saved maps will be useable once the load routine is completed as the save routine is very thorough

If you're wondering why I have released it before you can load maps, well I set myself a deadline of three days ago and missed it. Just want people's feedback really. It still has a long way to go.

Neat stuff. Are there any plans to add layers to the map maker so that you can have transitional terrain? How about 3D ISO terrain such as slopes, stairs, ladders, and multi-story buildings? I've alway been a fan of X-COM and Breach and would love to tools to help create those kinds of game environments.

Pretty good!

Now for the niggles!

1. Start location of map in top left of screen a bit naff. Prefer centre in screen, Maybe red highlighted tile should be middle tile as well.

2. Click on orange button to bring up menu. Click cancel. You cant paint on tiles until you change to another tile texture.

3. Been mentioned before. Your tiles just dont look right. They look like they overlap and just dont tile neatly.

4. If map is behind tile select 'window' and you keep mouse button clicked on the 'prev' tile link, it cycles back thru tiles AND changes map tile at same time BUT then crashes with some sort of image error. Suggest that when mouse is inside a gui window, disable updating of map that may be underneath.

Maybe it would be better to have a dedicated area of screen for all the selection stuff, maybe a banner across top or bottom of screen.

I am planning to add transitional layers. They are most definitely on my to do list once the load feature is done. If by 3D Terrain you mean things like walls, then yep I hope to do that too,

@Spooky:
1. Agreed. I'll fix that
2. Good point, i'll change that too
3. That is proving to be an arse to change. I will alter the offsets once I find the error in the draw routine
4. I thought I had rectified that bug. Oh well, I will get that fixed.

I have now added the ability to load .imf format maps. I will release the new beta when I have added the ability to save in .txt format (probably tomorrow, maybe tonight). The GUI has been changed in line with Spooky's comments.

I forgot to add the photoshop tile template to the download!! I have rectified this now. It can be found in the /Tiles folder and is a file called tiletemplate.
