How to change or decrease the volume of the player's footsteps?

If you want to change it, you simply take another sound file of the footstep and replace it with the other one in the audiobank\materials folder. It would have to be the same name though, such as 1stoneA1.

If you want to decrease the volume, you can download a free audio editor such as Audacity and decrease the volume from there.

I wouldn't try deleting the sound files, because they might cause an error in the game when you are trying to test or build it.

I keep getting a runtime error. I copy the original sound files and put them in a sound fil somewhere else. Then I take my sound file and put it to replace 1stoneA1 etc. Do I have to do the 1stoneS, I, and D? or just A1, A2, A3, and A4?

The "S", "I", and "D" are for "Slide", "Impact", and "Destroy" and are used with the physics system for when objects collide or generally move around.

ohh but do the sounds have to be a minimum length. Because the new sound file that I want to add is 1 sec. the original is 0 sec. But have mili. seconds.

I don't believe there is a requirement for their length or anything. Perhaps your sounds have a different form of compression than the originals and FPSC is having problems with that?
