So guess freaking what?!?! I got my new motherboard, got my new stick of RAM, and put it all together in my nice fancy new case. Had everything going, and double checked it all (so I thought), went and turned on - and i smell metal burning. quickly i switch off my computer, only to find that my ram is in backwards and that the copper on it nearly melted, tested the motherboard after removing basically everything and that's fried too.

so all of my old parts are fine, both of my new parts are fried. WHAT ARE THE ODDS?! Oh dear lord, i'm going to go insane. Two hundred dollars down the drain.

I forgot to mention the fact that the case was switched 230 Volts...but that is NOT my fault, i haven't touched the case until tonight. That also could be what fried it....it's just odd that everything works except the RAM and motherboard.
