Abandoned project using FPSC [x9] using only FPSC stock entities (Thus the title). Theres a few tweaked scripts, some rushed music and it's never been fully bug tested as no-one got to play it as intended.

Story:TinPotMan
Well it was supposed to be the story of a man whose woken up in a facility and needs to escape, doesn't know why he's there and so on...all been done before...I know...

Game:
More of an adventure/ puzzler than a FPS although you get to chuck some grenades later. I was impressed at how easily games could be constructed. I'm now looking at Dark Basic, but I don't have as much time as I used to...

I've attached some screenies as I don't know how to include them in the message. I'll build a demo and get that hosted as soon as I can. Any constructive criticism would be appreciated, although I know theres some belting good games to compete with.

Thanks for listening.

First of all; make sure they are either in .jpg or .png format, then simply click on the "browse" button, next to the attachment box when replying or creating a thread.

Alternatively; you can upload the image(s) to sites such as http://imageshack.us/, grab the code, and place it between the
tags.

I'll give you some time to do this, otherwise I'm afraid I'll have to lock this thread.

I tried it and I liked it. Just shows how someone can take something we all take for granted can still make for good gameplay. Good job!

Although I do wish that you might add some more to the feeling of the game. Like why is the player escaping? I don't know it just felt like something was missing. Something should just pop right out at the player. I would suggest a hud, being the player is a conker, like a error message that distorts the screen and a really loud noise like it is in your head, but not. Script it like on either a timer or when in a trigger zone.

I look forward to more.

Hey, thanks for the kind comments. As regards to the feeling of the game, I know what you mean, but it was an abandoned project, long story, but I had to strip some bits/ music out of it. Although...in the 'full' game, you do get some of the scares your talking about.

One thing I did notice in the demo was the conker was almost like a cloaked predator! He shouldn't have been like that, so you don't really get to see him stalking through the re education room properly when you emerge from vent. Not sure what that was about.
??? I built it with full shader effects, so maybe that was the problem.

You didn't say, but how far did you get anyway, did you actually complete the demo? (as in the well done completion screen)

PS, sorry for the very loooong delay in getting back to you, I don't have as much time to spend on this as I used to. However, it's great fun when I can...
