Reminds me a lot of Oblivion. Also you should work on the Cover Art more, I could barely see the title.

@alimpo thankyou for you commentary- the last picture is early WIP for the third level of Dungeon Raid. I will replace it with a more detailed and professional looking screenshot of that same area.

I just played the demo twice and here is my review (in my usual TGTBATU format):

The Good:
- overall atmosphere. Its a fantasy game that looks and feels like fantasy, not just like a "zombie game with a sword". The rats eveywhere in the cellar where a nice touch.
- level building. Good work, especially the cave looks like everything one is supposed to do with Cosmic Prophets cave pack. And(spoiler)

The Bad:
- (spoiler)
. The enemies are impossible to kill until you get a missile weapon but dont pose much of a threat afterwards.

The Ugly (sorry its so much):
- Music. The starting music sounds like an old castlevania tune and the end music is 100% original Oblivion. This really spoils the very athmospheric ingame music
- The "Duke Nukem" loading screen.
- Lighting (cellar only)It seems to switch suddenly on and off in the cellar so you see perfectly well in the segment you just stand in but it looks pitch black everywhere else (the lighting in the cave is superb though).
- ending a level with a crossbow and starting the next one with a longbow is kinda weird.

Overall I am looking very much forward to see more of your game

thanks, lol the oblivion music was free from the author lol and i had to use it. but the lighting is fixed and the first enemy is gone. it was giving my friends a few issues.

(you pick up the long bow in the second level)

and thankyou-- i think i did an almost perfect job with the cavern.

The new screens look nice

Is there any chance the health will be in the upper corner where it usually sits?

You really have no right making an accusation like that James, with the record of unfinished games you've been building

Besides, I love the look of this game so far; it has a very original feel to it in the ways of FPSC, we haven't seen a genuinely fun and authentic fantasy around here in a while.

Many of the points that Storyteller raised were spot on with what I was thinking, but you've definitely got a solid foundation here Armageddon. The atmosphere is great, I loved the cave areas and the new screens keep looking quite promising.

Keep it up

Cheers

Life would be much easier if I had the source code.

You can't talk James. If this guy has 114 projects then you must have at least 9001.

thankyou all, and James, i apologize for snapping at you like that.

@hador- Thanks for your offer, but i myself am an audio engineer, but thank you for the offer.

@Braden713

Thankyou for the support. this project is moving along really nicely

the only problem is i have to separate the levels in pairs of two to each build..... so i am going to save them into a single folder with all the episodes (2 levels at a time) yes its kinda stupid but its the only way to build the game properly.
so until there is a fix on the game build this is the way its going to be done.

I'm not going to let a bug on the build engine stop me from coming out with this game.

so far the progress shows:

I downloaded it and played it and thought it was great.
I got stuck for a while until I figured out that you can climb the rock surfaces (nice idea).

Keep up the good work.

PS - Just thought I would let you know,I have a new model Pack coming out very soon and with the Dungeon Theme.

All the best of luck with this.

Cheers

Very good demo. I like this very much and would have liked to have played more of it. I have a few suggestions if you want them.

Your title seemed to be lacking that feeling of times of old. Don't get me wrong the music was right on, but the backdrop needed a way to sorta pop. Have you thought of an animated title screen? If you need some 3d work just let me know and I can help out there for your title screen. In fact just before writing this I drew out an animatic of what I thought would look good for your game. Just something to think about. Now to the levels.

In the first level I noticed every once in awhile some decals were turning white. Maybe this was just for me. Also I think that maybe you could add more to it, like rescue a damsel trapped down there in the dungeon, have some booby traps or something it add to the great effect you already have.

In the second level of your demo was great, but where is the light coming from? Maybe add something like a glowing rock or "mushrooms" for the effect. The rock wall was a great puzzle to find, but to simple. You have the kegs there why not use them. I would maybe use them to have the player move the barrels to a certain point and blow them up to make a bridge from that middle rock pillar. A simple destroy and activate script should do the trick.

I hope this helps you some, but they are merely suggestions.

i would in fact love an animated title.

but as for the booby traps and whatnot-- as far as .fpi goes.. i only know how to trigger spawn and the simple stuff.. but i really dont know much more.. maybe if you have skype-- you could give me a few pointers on how i might be able to achieve those awesome ideas.
