Hey guys,

I have been really busy the last few months, and all the requests in my request thread just got a bit too much to handle.

Anyway, for the people who have missed my request thread, here is the Mark V tank I made, it's the normal version (the requester wanted me to add some other stuff to the one from the request thread.) Hope you guys enjoy it!

C&C please!

Thanks! But I don't see any wood-like texture? Everthing is metal or rusty

He's saying it looks like wood because there isn't any of the proper detail in the texture.

Look at this for example:

You can see that the tank is made up of seperate green metal plates, not just one big slab of standard rusted metal.

Uhmm but the mark V is made out of 3 metal plates, and that's what I did, you can see that in the picture, and I textured some bolts in it but you can't see them because of the poor light map I used and because the screen is taken from a distance.

Besides from that, I'm still really new to modelling, and even more to texturing so don't blame me, this is about my 10th decent model, so I'm already happy I could I achieve this in such a short amount of time and practice. I do know I could've put more time in the texturing but I just didn't feel like it.

Out of all the models from your request thread... you chose mine? Huh, I guess thats cool. Maybe to add some more detail, you could put some I.D. Numbers on the side, or some machine guns, just aft of the turret.

I guess it would help to see some screens in *proper* lighting to judge the texture quality.

To be honest I even have a hard time to clearly see the shapes of the side turrets.

Looks much better now

The tracks are still a tad to dark but imo but the metal is quite realistic.

Thank you, glad someone appreciates it, spent quite a lot of time on that tank, and remember, I'm still a modeling rookie

I like it too. I know the amount of time it probably took you- I'm currently working on a Mark IV and a few other tanks. These take a lot of time to model and get "just right". Your Mark V is just fine as it is, no worries there.

Cheers

Oh sorry mike, I forgot to mention you! Glad you like it. Yes tanks are hard to make, especially because of all the details, and because there aren't always good reference pictures
