Well I seem to have turned into a bit of a Lord of the Rings nut recently, and I had an hour spare. So I thought Id put it to some use, here's the result. Its a nice quick screensaver. It looks quite good, fading text etc. If anyone likes it then post me and tell me what you think.
Here's a quick screeny to wet your appetites

How are u supposed to put it to actually be your screen saver?

Well all I did was copy it to the 'windows \ system ' folder and select it from the drop down list in the display control panel.

Anyone think it looks good for the little amount of work it took?

Technically any Win32 app can be your screensaver, simply rename the extension .exe to .scr - The only problem is that a lot of apps won't run like a screensaver should. For instance the eVolution TechDemo is something I'd use as a saver but it quits when it finishes, an ideal screensaver will loop indefinately until someone moves the mouse or presses a key.

Just right cick the icon and select "Install".

I think it looks great, the fade effect with the text works quite well. The only thing I don't like is that it's not so much a ring rather then a donut, I think the width should maybe be a bit thinner like the actual one ring.
