Newcomers DBPro Corner / How do i make the character attck?

Right, i have the basic's of moving the character.
Right but i dont know how to make a character attack.
How would i do this?
My character is like the ROOM DEMO (the character is in front of you)
Also i want the enemy to have it's health down 20 per attack
Also just to let you know i have animation's so the character dies, attacks etc.

Any help out there?
