Ahoy,

Yours for free.

Find attached a ZIP file containing:

.MAX file
.OBJ file
.TGA Texture

For all those looking for a nice set of arms to go with your weapons, in a generic, modern style. Also a thank you for everyone who has supported me and purchased model packs i have created.

I haven't been very active on the forums lately Oh well.

Enjoy! License is in the zip file, usual stuff, use it in any way you want, just do not claim it as your own and credit when necessary.

I enjoyed the second line of the license

Im intrested in that part, checked the license but it ddint directly cover it, only credit, free to use in non/commerical games.

Yeah! The great Jon Fletcher returns!

Anyways I'm getting back into weapon modeling and I'll love to use these. Beats having to use the same old EAI hands that are seen everywhere here now. Also whats the deal with commercial license? Would I be able to sell things with the use of these hands if credit was given?

Those hands look very nice. Mind if i try to retexture them into sci fi arms? or add stuff to them?

Now THESE are sexy. Time for some animating from me, I've been considering some animating and these are perfect.

Also they seem to draw a little inspiration from Far Cry 2

Are these fully rigged? Because I opened up the .max file, all there is is one arm and when I unhide everything there seem to be bones but when I move them nothing happens... :\

That seems kind of wrong, sorry but no. I don't mind people using them in any way they want (meaning most ways beside exploit), but that sounds like directly profiting from them.

I'll add that to the text file.

Quote: "Are these fully rigged? Because I opened up the .max file, all there is is one arm and when I unhide everything there seem to be bones but when I move them nothing happens... :\"

This was a remodel and texture of the model pack 28 arms (as some will notice) and in the process of changing the model slightly i had to remove the physique modifier leaving it unrigged, the bones are there if anyone wishes to rig them, i might go back to rig it again and duplicate the other arm and fix any flipping errors, i figure anyone wanting to use them should be able to give it a shot themselves.

EDIT:

Ok fine i'll rig them.

EDIT2:

Done, i have updated the ZIP file in the first post, with new license, and new model files.

(.max one has two arms, both rigged)
(.obj just has two arms)

Nice hands! I saw awesome models on your site, you ever gonna release them for FPSC? Just asking!

thanks so much for rigging these I am going to have so much fun with these hands!
If we animate guns with these hands could we release the guns for free?

Again thanks, this is a very generous thing to do for the community now I won't have to wait for EAI to release his.

He ment that this model is the same style as model pack 5 weapons hands but with a better model and texture, you can re rig them to the weapons to use them

@Jon Fletcher,

Hate to sound like a pain but you think you could provide a .x or a .ms3d for those who animate in milkshape? ^_-

These hands look mega cool by the way. You've came a long way!

Can someone please convert the MAX file with the bones to a 3DS or other common file while keeping the bones? I really need the bones in order to use them.

Yes, but bigsnake's only has one bone that controls all vertices. I meant is there a version that is totally rigged with numerous bones to numerous parts?

AbdulAhad: You would have to pose them into the same position as in MP5 since they don't have animations on fingers and stuff then replace the model in the HUD.x

So even though it's commercial use, we can't sell weapons made with them?
