Better asked: why would it matter if he's a Communist? Cold war's over and it sounds like you're trying to bring the hysteria back. (Forgive me if I'm wrong but you sound a bit condescending.)

Nice looking chopper, there aren't many of them on the forums (unless they cropped up in my absence which is entirely possible).

Nice! Just what I was needing for my secret (L4D-ish) project! This is just awesome man! Keep it up! You are awesome... Will it be for commercial use?

Don't know if that was a joke, or if you're serious. But either way that was rude and uncalled for. Yeah, he's Russian. Russia is a democratic republic.

The model looks great. Might need to kidnap it for my game

Yes, I am really Russian, and yes my preference is communist. I don't talk about it much here, people seem to be offended. Though you would call me a "soviet" instead of Russian, you can just say I am

Thank You everyone for the nice comments I will try to get the MI-24 textured and released in a few days. It will be free and use as you want. Just don't claim it as yours.

@soviet176, My familly came from Russia. Sorry somone had to ask you about being a the commie, you must think were stuck in the 1950's, around here.

I thought I would Share a few tutorials, my kid found. he made both and showed me these tuorials. When you combine them with the site I found al most any aircraft is possible. Enjoy.

No, I was directing that towards General Jackson. I thought the way he asked was very rude.

How is it rude to ask if he's a communist? Sure, I have my thoughts about communism, but I was just asking. He has a sickle and a hammer on his avatar. Thats the commie symbol.

Dang, I cant even ask a question in the FPSC boards anymore

Perhaps you should do some research into what year this is. We no longer use the word [/i]commie[/i]. According to the AUP, we should not be talking about such things, should we? Besides, I too am of Russian descent.

[ON TOPIC]

Heltor, this is really nice work. Thanks for this and all the efforts you and your son put into helping those of us that are trying to learn such great skills like this. It is very much appreciated.

Looks great, the uv however looks cluttered. Could cause frustration texturing it, but you the mesh looks pretty solid, no real messy mesh.

This will be put first hand into my game, probably as a memorial for the 14,000 plus comrades lost in the Afghanistan war. very nice heltor thank you very much!

For the record, I do follow the old communist ways, as I was brought up by it. As many of you may know, and blackfox probably already knows, our leader putin is going slowly back to a revised communist state.

Your map is pretty scattered; lots of wasted space. Don't worry; I used to have maps like that as well. Any place that you have a texture that can be placed in multiple areas (like the blades); try overlapping the UVs onto each other. Do this in as many areas as possible (some areas aren't possible, as there may be specific markings). Doing this will increase both increase the resolution in the final output of the model, as well as making texturing easier overall (less time consuming).

Oh, and "Up the Irons"!

I have been working 2 jobs so its hard to gat time to work on models. I"m still working I got the body and everything textured except the weapons system. I will try to post new screen. tomarrow after work.

@KeithC Thank you for the input. Mapping is not my strongest skill.lol I was gonna overlap the blades like I did the tires and weapons system, but the blades were 3, and 5. Instead of 4 and 4 so there were strange angles. I was worried about bad texture over lap.

@Tanya thank you, your are always so sweet.
