You compile it, and it's in the project folder. But if your game uses media, it needs the media to run...

Normally when you install a game it creates a folder in the program files directory which contains the executable with all the media, and then it provides a shortcut to the executable on the desktop. It is the same with your executable. It must be in a folder with all the media, but you may have a shortcut where ever you please.

If you are looking for an "installer" that takes your executable and all your media and packs it into one file for distribution, google innosetup. It's been a good one for me.

It varies slightly from IDE to IDE, but in the default DBPro IDE you go to the Project Manager and then:

1. In the Media section, add all the media. (If you have everything in your program loaded from a folder called Media you can just add 'Media\*.*' to the project media section.

2. In the Settings section, set the project to EXE with Attached Media.

Compile it and you should have a single exe file with all the media embedded inside it which can be run from anywhere,

I think same directx what is required by the editor is required for the game.Older may or may not do the job, but newer for sure.
