ill probly hit myself when i hear the answer..
how do i detect camera collision? cannot find "camera collision" or anything similar in the commands index

make a 3d pritimive and use the collision on that with the camera being updated in the same location.

there is a camera collision command but it is for bsp collision. Do what Indi said, use a dummy object with the camera "latched" on to it

BSP files (Binary Space Partition) is a type of format used to make "worlds" or "maps" for your games. Popular games using this format are Half-Life/Team Fortress and Quake (among others).
There are free editors that you can dload to make your own maps

Look for Valve Hammer 3.4, and check out Wally for texturing and wad/pak editing
