is water just continually randomizing a matrix?
if I want to make a section of wavy water in polygonal form could I just use milkshape and animate a thing of water i make?

i tried searching forums for "water" found nothing

search wave. there was a post somewhere the other day using sin and cosin on a matrix to make it wavey like water

make matrix and randomize it. Make array the same size like matrix. Store martix tile highenes in array (you can randomize array directly) In main loop use cos function to move matrix tiles up and down useing array ...thats it ...look at goblin at scooter demo (dont remember the name...was it Jet sky???) ...or look at my demo on my web site(no code with it)

texture martix with water texture of course...
