Hehe, in case anyone has been in a coma, David Blaine is living in a box on nothing but water for 44 days. He's on day 13 I think, anyhoo - just read that on Saturday, some gay rights activists plan to pelt the poor guys booth with chipolata sausages. Come on! - what a pathetic attempt to get a little publicity.

He's been harassed by food, pelted with eggs and golf balls, mocked by a student (the humanity!), stalked by the grim reaper and some idiot tried to cut off his water supply!

He's surely suffered enough, I reckon it's time people left him alone to get on with it. One nice thing about it though is they've added him to the Legoland model, with camera crews and all!, looks damn cool!.

Shazam,

I really can't understand why people want to throw eggs etc. at Blaine and why so many people seem to hate him. The world is a strange place :\

Me, I think it's a trick... but regardless of whether it is or isn't, why do people have to be jerks about it? It's not like he's hurting anyone

I live only a few miles from Tower Bridge where he is and so have visited the site a couple of times. Believe me it's not a trick, but there is a rumour he may pretend to faint and have to be checked out. A switch could feasibly take place then by some scruffy body double.

I feel sorry for him as I went there on Saturday and it was so hot it must be like an oven in there!

I wish I owned the burger van set up on site. The owners are making a fortune.

I'd take lip balm. 44 days in a glass cage, many of them in burning hot weather... ouch.

Why should we feel sorry for him? He's doing this not only because he wants to 'spiritually find himself' (whatever that means) but because he is making money from it. Anyway, what did people think would happen? Personally, I think it's hilarious, especially the golf ball escapade

Blaine is far better at his street magic than these stunts. This "44 days in a box" thing is getting rather dull. Does anyone really care anymore?

He wanted to be in the Guinness Book of World Records, unfortunately he was snubbed because they all know he's a trickster. As for that glass box stint, it's all a trick ... hang on, didn't he cut part of his ear before entering the glass box (which turned out to be fake)?

can't say i particularly cared before he went in... i saw the live feed on one of the crappy channels here, and they were talking about how spiritual this was gonna be and such.

over the past few years blaine has gone from cool magician to weirdo in a few simple steps.
first a pole in manhatten (or somewhere in downtown NY), now this...
why can't he just make big ben disappear like the first lady?

that'd be pretty neat
