You would need to redo the animation for ''idle'' or ''moving'' in gunspec.

Holding the weapon up seems more realistic to me, I certainly wouldn't be walking around with it lowered if I knew there were enemies around.

Btw, theres no attachment...

Did you get the animations to work? True, I supose it all depends on the type of game your after.

In reality, one would be standing with their gun down. Even in a time of war, you don't stand around with your gun up!

I look forward to seeing more in this thread. I hate when good potential concepts are left to die.

As I said, it depends very much on the type of game he's trying to make. If it was a game where friendlies were around, it would be resonable to have the weapon pointed in a safe direction. On the other hand, if the character was going around looking for a fight, it would not be realistic to have the weapon lowered.

@ColtFang: Are you looking for the player to have a weapon lowered or other characters.

In PB you can define custom weapon animations. You can also script your weapon to specifically run said animation when aimed at a "friendly" target. So, if you were to aim your weapon at an ally, you could have it play an animation of the gun lowering, then gun the gun raising back up when no longer aiming at a friendly target.
