Hello,

I just wanted to know, what is the definition of Rendering? Such as rendering a 3D image, or computer artwork.
If anyone can please break it down in laymans terms if you can.

Thank You!! In Advance

Rendering means drawing your scene/3d image on screen. That's the most simple explanation you can get.

Use DeleD to get skilled in 3d editing! Visit http://www.gamefortress.com/delgine for more info.

yes, rendering is the final stage. In a game, the rendering engine takes all the meta data you throw at it and "renders" the image that you have instructed it to do - hopefully a few dozen times per second!

rendering 3D is the process of the computer taking 3 dimensional information (X,Y,Z) and converting it into a two dimensional image (X,Y) (the kind a computer monitor can display).

the computer will use math to figure out lighting, shading, and such so it will know what color to draw the pixels on your screen so it looks like that 3D box, or 3D monster you specified!
