I allready made a site in Flash. (No, not my own)
And now I want to try animations like http://www.albinoblacksheep.com/flash/pika.php
I allready began one, with a song of a friend of mine.
I was wondering if it would be legal, if I make another one with a song from a CD.

It would be illegal unless
a. the author/publisher of the song gives you permission to do so
or
b. (at least in the EU) it has a satirical intention.

The latter might be difficult to judge but there's a certain freedom for that kind of entertainment.

satirical intention ?
I want to make a flash movie about my teachers and colleagues smoking joints. If you want to know why, it's simple to explain : we make a project for schools, against drugs. So,, that would make fun of it.
Would that be considered as satirical ?

If it's an offical school project I wouldn't worry. It would be classified as educational, and I doubt anyone would sue you because of that 'cause that would generate bad publicity.

I probably wouldn't upload it. You know, for a satirical work you would have to choose celebrities, for example. As an educational work, I would only upload it if the whole project was introduced on that site.
Still you could ask for a permission. It's not that unlikely that you're allowed to use the song, if you explain them what it is and what it's for (school project).

Ok, thanks.

I just wanted to upload it, because it can't go on a floppy disk ... and all computer don't have CD (to avoid that anybody installs something on it), so getting it on internet would be logical.

Oh yes, some will say that a program could be installed from the internet, but I'm not responsible for those Computer, so don't blame me for the lack of CD-Roms

Goto Newgrounds.com and look in the music section, ask the guyes there if you can use thier music, they are pretty easy going. As long as you or anyone else don't make any money from it, and it's low profile, it's cool.

Ah Yatta, to bad there's been one done already, plus the actual music video is much better than the flash.

I know, I saw the original music video on TV (long ago) ... but that's for the school project, so it doesn't matter if it's done.

But you'll surely see the other vid I'm, making, with the song of my friend
