Hi,
I've created a map with FPS Creator using only my own files(segments and textures). I loaded it to DBPro but it does not have textures, only white segments and no light(I added lights to that map in FPSC!)
Does this happens if I chose wrong props in FPSC build setup or what?

Thanks,
TP

Greetings TP,

Attached is a little demo. This is my attempt at learning some Darkbasic programming features. This demo uses my own segments and models mixed with FPSC Free WW2 segments. Use WASD and mouse for controls.

I believe the problem your having has to do with the directory structure of your files.

Happy programming,
Brian

Thank you, Brian! It was very good! But it didn't help with this... But I got it working by changing setup level settings!

Thanks,
TP

Thank you, TP. That means a lot to me.

I have DBPro and planning to purchase FPS Creator. I have compiled a lot of information on using the levels, entities and animations, in DBPro. I have read through the FPS Creator game source. I plan on using DBPro and FPS Creator in concert, for most of my projects.

So, with that said. I am interested in more information. What setup level settings caused the problem and what changes did you make to solve the problem.

Please! And thank you,
Brian

Okay,

1st.(the failed one) I used
-Lightmapping: Best for performance
-Texture quality: Low (I think that this made the problem)
-And no shader effects

-Some kind of lighting in level

2st.(the right one) I used
-Lightmapping: Best for performance
-Texture quality: High
-And full shader effects (I don't know does this help but I used it)

-Some kind of lighting in level

But I noticed that my stairs and half-walls didn't were in the working DBPro level. (I don't know why, they were there in the previous version where segments were white)

Segments were made with Firma v2, expect half-walls and stairs.

Maps what are made with FPS Creator are so fast to load in Dark Basic Pro. Loading maps will take less than second to load it completely. In my laptop at least. It isn't so good.

Thanks,
TP

I have added light, tweaked the setting and for some reason can’t duplicate

. None the less you have solved it. That's all that matters.

As for the stairs and half-walls. I assume you modeled them yourself, as I did. The first, thing that come to my mind, is check to see what the model transparency is set at. You may also want to check in which direction the surface normals are facing.

Thanks,
Brian
