Hey all, I havnt been on here in a while.

I think I will start a scifi pack with entities that I am using for my game. I hope that maybe that they will become a model pack!

I also havent really made any contributions very much, and I also want to please you great forum members!

here are a few wip screens. Ill add illumination maps and normal maps to everything when its done. I maybe will also release it in the tgc store when I'm done.

Edit: oh and I'll redo the screens because I used some clipart from another game (as a placeholder) so there will be a different design around the "Unlocked" text.

Well, you haven't done anything wrong yet, but still, people get banned/slapped for double posting and w/e. Use the edit button at the bottom left part of each post if you want to change anything, (especially if your posts are spaced out in such little time). Other than that, the quality of the models really aren't that bad. They're pretty good, but all solid. Some placed on the models could be smoothed out, like the tubes on your latest picture. For that matter, does FPSC X9 support normal maps? Because if it does, then you really should include some nice normal map bakes.

one word: smoothing grps. u need to put the wires in a smoothing grp, so they look less blocky =)

also, u can double post, as long as u bring updates=)
looks really good! but yeah, the texture is flipped in FPSC for u, you should look it up =)

keep up the good work!

you need to smoothen those wires indeed. anyway, I see the model is flipped. I see you're using MS3D, and correct me if I'm wrong but I thought you could change the flipping in the .x export settings.

Like this (just made 5min ago) it is still yet to be textured

oh yeah and it will be animated. Ill probably use the hard surface texturing method of texturing this, to get the best results. In case you didn't know what hard surface texturing is, heres a lik for a tutorial on how to do it.
