Having a bit of trouble using the link object to limb command. It links it to the limb correctly but then the linked object slides up and down in the characters hand. I've tried rebuilding the skeleton in Milkshape (taking care not to inadvertenly move joints during animation) and it still is doing the same thing. There is another to do it right? other than link limb? If not mistaken it is done using meshes. What advantages does one way have over the other and which is easier to accomplish this simple task!
Thanks all

Sorry to add to your question CodeSlinger, but are the separate bones in pro in a bone-animated single-mesh object treated as limbs, or are only separate chunks, eg upper arm, lower arm, treated as limbs like in DBC?

Good question Moonshine! Unfortunately I don't know, I didn't create the model but am just animating it. Is there a way I can tell if it is a single-mesh object or not? Seems to me that it appears as if they are separate chunks considering the problem I am having. I am getting the same result using Glue object to Limb and also using Link Limb command.
Thanks

You can tell if the mesh is a single-mesh if it has no joins at the elbows, shoulders, neck, knees etc

i.e. a odel, eg a person, who is made up of a single wireframe mesh and not a series of meshes stuck together.

Checked the model and yes, it is a series of objects stuck together. I tried selecting the whole model in Milkshape and welding it together and it appeared to work in Milk (i.e. the objects where def attached as when i tried to move one the other immediately adjacent would move also) but when exported to .x i'm still getting that very unrealistic effect. It is especially bad when the character goes to swing his arm.
Puzzled...
