What I want to do is see where it is getting the mesh and textures from. I can open fps file with note pad and can make all kind of changes with note pad. Like I made one step and turned it in to 10 steps and move then around just by rewiting the fps file. I don't want to mess up the file trying to open it with note pad. While I am here, How do you make prefab for FPS? Well, I should say is how do you install a prefab in to FPS with all the file its need?

Hi Renny,

The only real way to know all the meshed and textures is to open the FPM in FPSC and cross-ref. the segments and entities with their FPS and FPE files which have that info shown.

You can make a prefab in the editor by zooming out until you see the top of the segments you want to make a prefab of. Then, use the selection tool to highlight the area you want to make a prefab of. Press Ctrl+C to copy your selection and it will show a blue ghost of the selected segments. Next use Ctrl+J to save as prefab. After you name your prefab it will take you to a white void where you can position the prefab for editor icon image; just click while in that view to save a pic. This info can also be found in section 5.1.1 of the FPSC manual (p.13 in PDF version)

edit: I posted too slow
