Hello. Please note that I'm a noob.

I was making some models to test out in FPSC, x9 and x10, just for learning. I made a normal map (Way too big, 4096x4096) in ZBrush. It looked nice. Then I exported a low poly model, and after many hours of finding and downloading converting programs, I converted it to DirectX. Then I made the entity maker which I don't like and I chose the diffuse texture, which is as big as the normal map, and all that other stuff. Since 100 was only a little dot on the ground, I changed the fpe script and made it 3000. That was big enough. I didn't see any detail in the texture when I tested the game, but it worked, and I wanted to add a metro theater effect to it. I did that, but it didn't have any reflection or detail to it. All my details were in the Normal Map. It looked more like manure than an effect, and that is the best way I can describe it.

Do anyone see what I did wrong in this process? Should I make smaller textures, ditch the entity maker or something?

Oh, also, using "3000" as scale works in x9, but in x10 it is still a dot. Anyone knows how to scale it in x10?

Sorry for writing a lot for little, I couldn't stop myself.

If anyone wonders what the tumor in the screenshot attached is, it's my "model", and it was an "Alien Spotlight" inspired by the flood from Halo 3. It doesn't show

Alright, I think I know what's wrong. If I'm not mistaken, which I probably am, the Metro Theater shader only works with X9 and you're using the segment shader. I'm not entirely sure since I don't own Metro Theater and I can't tell if your screenshot is X9 or X10. If it's X10, PS2.0 doesn't work in X10. If it's X9, check to make sure it's not the segment shader rather than the entity version. And also try making a 1024x1024 or 512x512 texture. FPSC to my knowledge doesn't support 4096x4096 textures. But don't take my answer as final, because I have almost no clue what I'm talking about. Get other people's opinions before you take my answer as best.

It's in X9 and it's an entity shader, so it's probably my textures. 1024 worked on other entities.

My UVs were also messed up.

It was easy to make that big a normal map from that big a texture. And for more detail.
