Why does 'plrfreeze=1' in the following script not do anything? Everything else is working fine.

:state=1,plrwithinzone=1:state=2
:state=2:plrfreeze=1,hudshow=hIText1,timerstart,state=3
:state=3,timergreater=9000:hudfadeout=hIText1,hudshow=hIText2,state=4,timerstart
:state=4,timergreater=10000:hudfadeout=hIText2,state=5
:state=5:plrfreeze=0,globalvar=1,setvar=1,state=6

Well I wouldn't start my script without state=0, the rest do you need to figure out. And please for the sake of our forum please use the code button located under "Post forum Message" on the right side.

Put this in:

Your script isn't even running as Massap2 stated.

Addendum:

However, the command as written won't work either. The plrfreeze command acts as it's own timer which also is in milliseconds. So using a "1" as the parameter will make the player freeze for 1 millisecond.

You might want to try and learn how the search feature of the forum works. I do believe that this has been covered before.

Also, you might want to get FPI EditPad (click on name for thread). It is free. This can help you somewhat in scripting.

Oh, and welcome to the wonderful world of game creation.

Addendum #2:

You might also want to look at this thread.

Sorry, I should have been more clear. That is not the full script, only the part that I felt matters. Here's the full script:

Sorry about the double post, but I can't edit a post that hasn't appeared yet.

Thank you Flatlander, changing plrfreeze=1 to plrfreeze=999999 fixed the problem.

It seems that the Community Guide is wrong or outdated about plrfreeze.

Thanks again.

the community guide came out before that was solved. I have made a thread dealing with the command and some others here: http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=135769&b=23 (ignore posts 3-9).
