Hi guys,

I'd like to use a HUD with button to open a door...
It should work like this:
you walking to a terminal
you press the "use"-key
HUD shows up with pointer and buttons (Button says: open door)
On the HUD is a Text that says: Door Is Closed
you click on "open door"-button
door opens
HUD-Text changes in "Door is open"
you click on "resume game"
HUD disappears and game is resumed

Is that possible?

I tried to copy the normal "pause game menu". I even got it to show up, but when I click a button, nothing happens.
any idea?

Buttons are finicky in FPSC, unless you're using a Mod that has added features specifically for that (PB comes to mind)

You'll want to set up your own HUD and create it as a "button" type and give it a number. This is similar to the way the Pause Menu and Title Menu buttons work. Then just have your script wait until one of the buttons are pressed. After that, have it target your door and activate it.

It is much easier to do with FPCGRAWTEXT.

If you wait for 24 hours I'll publish a bunch of scripts that do just this (working with 1.16.08 and any mod that supports the "pickobject" condition)

In case you find my grammar and spelling weird ---> native German speaker ^^
