Now I know this thread has been made before cause I have searched, however after following what has been said I still am having a problem.

I have created a texture that is completely black, which according to posts should make my model completely transparent. It is on Alpha and the colour is true black. However when it is placed on the model (Colt 45), upon being picked up, it stills shows the original texture, even though it was replaced under the properties for the gun.

Any help will be greatly appreciated

Change the texture in the .fpe file.

I always use a 100% transparent texture saved to png (or anything that supports alpha)

Your signature has been erased by a mod. The sig needs to be 600 width maximum (x 120 height) for all of it.

I work with Paint Shop Pro and the only format there, that saves Alpha channels properly, is .png.

If I want transparency I usually have to save the texture as a .png file in the end (where the transparent area looks like kind a milky chessboard),put it in the right folder and then edit the .fpe to "texture = xxxxxx.png".

Trying to convert the .png into a .dds never worked for me, always lost the Alpha channel.

Well I have it so it is showing transparent on the floor where you pick it up from, however when in the hands of the player, it is still showing as just a black weapon.

---EDIT---
I fixed it somehow and now it works XD
Thanks for everyone for trying to help!

---EDIT2---
Okay so now I am having a new problem and I don't think its worth making two threads. I wish to move my character model to the side of the screen (I am using Fenix Mods third person script) but I can't think of how to do it. I am using the specialist character from the model packs and any help would be appreciated.

open charecter in modelling program. (fragmotion)
Then move it slightly to left or right. Then put it in fpsc. If it isn't good try other positions.

There is always hope somewhere.

I take it that it opens .x files then? I'll check it out XD

---EDIT---
Sorry all for all the questions, but I ain't clever XD
Right I have moved the character along in the fragmotion program and it hasn't made any difference in the actual game :/
