Hey I was wondering if anyone could provide me with references to what DB Pro Functions are actully doing? See I don't think like most of you do I think at Low Levels ... so this is my frist "compiler" based language, Yes since I was 7 I've coded in strictly Assembly
so I'm sorry if I'm asking to much or being ignorent I'm just used to knowing what exictly my computer is doing.

If anyone can help thanks!!!

Oh well anyways can anyone tell me how the "write to file" and "read to file" commands work? cause I was thinking would it be possible to store all the graphics needed by the program as a pack file?

There's no point thinking low level when you start with DB. The whole concept of the language is that it takes away the complexities and lets you get on with the creative parts.

Once you're up and running, I'm sure you could move on to writing DLLs for DB at whatever level you're comfortable with, but you need to walk first.

But what's the point until you know how the mainstream code actually works!?! If all you're gonna do is force ASM bits, use Assembler!

@MagiKnight, there's an assembler plugin on my site - it was sort of an experiment, but your welcome to try using it.

You really need to try and get to grips with the language before you try and expand it though. Most of the time you'll find that DBPro can do what is needed fast enough for you.

I'm not but instead of coding everything over and over again why not use driect x.. even tho it's not very driect at all .. since it has to interface with a driver and not that hardware driectly.
