Hey,

I have been trying to merge Irrlicht and DarkGDK, and it works so far. My problem is that I get 2 devices one for DarkGDK and one for Irrlicht, i was wondering if it is possible to merge them somehow.

*So basicaly i get two screens, one of darkgdk, and one of irrlicht engine. My question is if u can control irrlicht engine with darkgdk commands? Well basicaly irrlicht is a library so i would guess it is possible?

This is my code:

Why would you be using Irrlicht and GDK together? If you are going to use one use one, but you can't have them rendering together really.

Partially true, yes. It's basically a rendering API, but you can choose between DirectX, OpenGL or a Software Renderer...

But I agree, I don't think it's possible. (and I don't really see why someone would like to do that)

Now the plot thickens, the fps decreases, and the awesomeness goes through the roof.

Well basicaly, , because lots of code of my game coded in darkgdk, but i am learning the fundamentals of irrlich, and irrlich is way better then dgdk, just little harder( i think ). Bu o well.. I guess i have to recode everything into irrlich, thanks anyway .

I read the title of this thead and thought the same as everyone else: why on earth would you try to do that? I can see why you want to do it but really I think you are much better off just learning to use Irrlich. I think it is theoretically possible but not without modification to both APIs because they probably won't give you low enough level of access to DX.
