hey, I'm having problems writing a gunspec for a gun that a friend and I are working on putting together. there are problems with the muzzle flare, the positioning, and the animations in and out of game themselves, I was wondering if anyone would help.

I'm not that good at gunspecs, so i wouldn't be able to help. But just a suggestion- maybe you should post your script so people can see it, then it would be a lot easier for them to help you.

Cheers, Jake

I suppose you're wanting "off the record" help through IMs.

If not, perhaps elaborating on what the problem actually is will help us to help you.

What's wrong with the muzzle flash?

What's wrong with the positioning?

What's wrong with the animations? (Though if they're acting up outside of FPSC, it doesn't seem like any amount of gunspec altering is going to help you there)

no acting up outside of FPSC.

the muzzleflare isn't there, even though there is a firespot bone in front of the gun.

the gun is off screen in the most recent export

the animations are fine, but in FPSC nothing ever happens except when I shoot, an arm moves down far from the players view across the screen. no gun in hand.

Bugsy, I found a fix for this... I was rigging some more custom guns the other day, and I found out how to repostition the muzzleflash.

See these lines?

Edit those until you get it right...

Sounds like your weapon is off-screen. You will need to adjust the offsets to correct this. I believe the options for this are "horiz", "vert" and "forward".

Bull shocks weapon creation system is great for making the guns work good in fps creator. It save a ton of time without all the trial and error.

does bullshock do trade out for texture work or 2d animations? I don't have any money.
