Night

Developer: SekoIdiootti

This is a little side project or something.

Story:

You were in a train, going to visit your parents. You fell asleep in the train, and woke up when the train slipped the railroad, and fell over. The last thing you remember is the driver, who ran to the hallway and shouted "Something has pushed the train over!" and then everything blacked out. When you woke up again, you found yourself in the middle of a jungle in the middle of the night... The train is stuck in the air, and the sky is full of trash, vehicles, and other things, stuck there, completely moveless...
You have no idea where you are, or what has happened, but you know you see a gun near you, lying there...

Nice new screens! I love the jungle theme and the orange lighting just seems great to me! And the place looks like it has no life in there (except teh zombies?), but there seems to be some ruins so it leaves a mystery that there might be some people living in there. Very good job!

Looks very nice, just watch collision and make sure the player can still run around easily.

Have you considered finding yourself a different enemy (or even making your own)? I just don't think the zombies do the environment justice. They look too human and out of place. You want something more Predator-like. There are so many zombie games now and given your environment (which is quite original so far) it would be great to see something new. If you are sticking with the zombies, perhaps use Bond's dog zombie (I forget the name) and Dante with slightly more jungle camo orientated textures.

Can we see the sky please?

The sky seems like the dust or whatever sky in the WWII section in stock. The one you have in default. Just seems like it to me, but not sure.

There's no collission problems. At least not much.

Well... I can't make my own enemies as I can't animate them or get them FPSC-ready. (and I'm not a good modeler either)

And well, I use zombies because... Well. They're the only good horror enemies.

Oh, and yeah, it's the default sky.

Cool! Altho the skybox looks cool as it is, I'd suggest trying some other skyboxes to see wich of them fits best.

Well, I don't know why, but I can't change the skybox. I've tried, but it doesn't change.

Well, there's been like a hundred people in the train, so some have dropped their weapons.

My post was deleted? I posted the demo link in a new post, but...

Well, it's in the first post, and here:
http://www.filefront.com/17040695/Night1.rar

It'd be nice if someone downloaded it, and did some review or something. There's no custom menus, because 1.17 beta somehow doesn't seem to build those... Well, it doesn't really matter.

Umm, the train is a model... And the other things too.. Not skybox...

Dunno why that happens...

Does it work for others?

I know that. All I'm asking is that you give us a picture of the sky so that we can see all the floating objects and the train etc. It's made out as quite a big thing in your story, however it's not present in any of the screens. So once again, can we see it, please?

for change the skybox you can normally go to :

\Files\languagebank\english\gamebank

you open the ''setuplevel'' and change the line :state=0:sky

with the folder where your skybox is, voila !
