I spent 2 hours retexturing the stock US troop to be a green army man. I was wondering if I could put this on the GC store for not free. If i could then i would retexture more items and guns to be green army men related. Even tan for enemies! So could I sell these since the only thing I used was the models and since theyre stock models.

No, you can't sell them. Ithink you can give the texture away tho. If it's only the texture. Not really sure, but that's how I think it works.

No, the model is created by someone else and belongs to a commercial product. It'd be illegal to upload it anywhere without permission from the creator (even so, he probably still wouldn't let you). Also, if you were to sell the whole thing, you'd be selling the UV Map, animation, and script, all of which were created for use in a commercial product. You'll get yourself into pretty deep problems if you do give away the whole thing.

The texture however, is OK to give away for free under a few circumstances:

-The original texture must be completely changed or unnoticable
-You don't claim credit for the original texture
-You get direct permission from the creator of the media

Are you not reading that post? You must have permission for retextures. If you're giving away original textures you created all by yourself you may do what you want with it (sell, give away for free, etc).

Yep, atually I see nothing wrong with selling texture packs its just not been done around here before, if you have an excellent texture pack I see no reason not to sell them, it takes work to create something folks would buy though.
