Hey,
I have finally bought my Sony DCS-HX1,and went to test it out in an abandoned building, which was teasing me for months now.
And not to mention that this place will be the main scene of my new upcoming short action film .
But enough about that.
The reason I'm posting these pictures is simple.I thought, that these pictures are great inspiration material,so I decided to put them up for you guys to enjoy.
Remember, this pictures are property of Nejc Planinšek aka Zay333,so don't ever use them without my permition.

If you want a higher resolution version (3456x2592),send me an e-mail or contact me on MSN.

Cheers and enjoy!

I love looking at pictures and this is a great site and possible inspiration for modelers. However, I'm not sure how this will be received as it has nothing to do with FPSC ready models. So expect some flak.

BTW, I can see why you your doggy.

You can never have enough reference material

Thank you very much for these.

The second last one reminds me of one of maxiqueen's levels showcased with the WW2 Rigged weapons by maxiqueen.

I bet that too!
It was kind of scary when the first door I encountered opened and shut because of the wind .And I'm lucky, that I didn't encountered an angry narcotic hobo (it smells like piss in most rooms).

Urban exploration is SO much fun! I would have loved to explore that building. Great pics.

Hopefully there's room for this kind of thing in this forum, it's great inspiration and reference.

What was this building used for?

IS THAT IN FPSC???!???

I love taking pictures like this. Since I picked up game design, I acquired such a bizarre admiration for run down urban environments.

As an urban explorer I am glad to see I am not alone on the forums
I personally get a lot of inspiration from the buildings I visit, my latest work was inspired by the Divine Loraine in Philadelphia, I would recommended looking at some pic of it.

I love how F l a t l a n d e r quickly modeled and textured perfectly everything in your pictures and took a screenshot of it through the hole in that block wall. AMAZING job FL!

ZAY,

Great photos and a nice idea it would be to have a section for this type of resource.

I agree, this is a great resource for level designers. Since Terry made the required FPSC image; I see no reason why this can't remain.

What an amazing place to get photographs, when ever I view the interior pics of buildings like that I always wish they had gotten pictures of all of the papers and filth lying on the floors, that stuff is 100% overlay material! If I ever visit a place similar, my cam would be pointed towards the floor, 90 percent of the time.

Also I do agree, reference imagery should have its own category It would help expand the fpsc universe.

Nice shots, altho the graphics look very bad, not realistic at all. The skybox looks good thou. Is the dog animated or what? Does it have a good AI? [/another joke]

I thought it's illegal to go in such places if someone still legally owns the place or something. Can't really remember that. But that haven't stopped me from exploring abandoned places. Altho there was only like 2 abandoned houses here, and both are now gone... Could have had an inspiring thread as well.

I found this old Power Plant but I could only see it from inside .
But nonetheless I was lucky because they are renovating it,meaning this might of been the last time I saw it in it's original form.

Enjoy!
