You know the ones...I won't name them here for obvious reasons, infamous for fooling people into buying domains. I got my second call today, they never learnt the first time round. It went something like this:

"We have a client trying to register ****.net and ****.biz, as the owner of ****.co.uk, we are giving you the chance to register them first."

"OK. Give me your company details"

"We are the *******, trading as *****"

"What's your address and phone number?"

"I don't understand where you are going with this?"

"I just want to make sure I am doing business with a reputable company"

"Er...OK. It's *****"

"And your phone number?"

"Look, I need an answer right now, or the other party will register these names"

"Well, I'm not interested right at this moment, but thanks for your details"

"Oh, **** off, you *******!"

"...and that's how you do business is it? You call your prospective clients ******s?"

"No, I **** ***** ******"

Hangs up

The last line was he left me with was a serious criminal offence, hence the commenting out.

Watch out, they're back!!!

You should read the stuff I have on a large UK Sports store that I took to court and won. Now that is interesting stuff. Because I knew beforehand I was going to have problems, I documented everything. That includes the stuff the guy who was leaving told me, the scientific reports they refused to look at, the attitude, and the remarks made by the judge.

It's all made up in web-ready form, unfortunately I don't know yet where I stand legally. Because I won the case, and it is all fact, I could publish it. However, they are a huge company and could walk all over me for minor issues, so I have to tread carefully.
