Would I be correct in assuming that once you have used Darklights to light a model, if you add any further lights in source code, they won't work? All i'm trying to do is create a flickering light in a very dark hallway, the hallway is dark from halfway down using darklights (IDE application), when i tried to put in a light using source code it had no effect whatsoever on the environment.

On that note any suggestions on how to make a randomly flickering light? i had a few thoughts but looking at the ideas themselves, they were quite bad and lengthy.

Windows 7 64 bit, AMD Phenom II x4 Black edition, 4 GB Ram, Radeon HD 4650, 540 GB HDD

I can see from your smile, you're not here for the sunset.

That flashing light thing is perfect, i had thought along those lines too, but i didn't know quite how to make it work, thank you

sadly though having an already lightmapped object the light still doesn't show up...
